La Grana is Kraken’s own reimagining of the classic Lyra tuning machine—a design whose elegant proportions and distinctive elongated plate have graced Spanish guitars for generations.

Rather than reproduce a historical Lyra, we preserved its unmistakable character and reinterpreted it through the geometry of Nasrid architecture. The pointed arches and intricate openwork of the plate draw inspiration from Granada’s Alhambra, bringing together two enduring expressions of Spanish craftsmanship: the traditional Lyra and the decorative language of Andalusia.

At the heart of La Grana is Kraken’s modern, precision-engineered 1:18 tuning mechanism. Bearing-supported string rollers deliver exceptionally smooth, accurate tuning, while adjustable button tension using a T8 Torx driver allows each player to personalize the feel of the tuning action.

Although La Grana has a larger and more expressive plate than our Modern Hauser Gold, its carefully engineered openwork removes unnecessary material while preserving strength and stability.

The complete set weighs only 164 g—just one gram more than the 163 g Modern Hauser Gold. La Grana therefore delivers the visual presence of a larger Lyra-inspired design without adding meaningful weight to the guitar’s headstock.

• Kraken Signature Black Óvalo (+€20) — Our flagship button, precision-machined from aerospace-grade aluminum and distinguished by its slimmer ergonomic profile. Designed to enhance tactility and provide a more direct connection to the tuning action, its lightweight construction delivers exceptional durability, dimensional stability, and complete resistance to humidity and cracking. The result is the most refined tuning experience in the Kraken lineup.
• Kraken Signature Ivory Oval (+€10)  — Crafted in our distinctive oval profile from premium synthetic ivory, this button combines the warm, elegant appearance of traditional ivory with the consistency and durability of a modern, entirely non-animal material. Its smooth, subtly lustrous finish provides a comfortable tactile feel, while its dimensional stability offers excellent resistance to humidity and cracking. Timeless in character yet modern in performance, it forms a graceful bridge between classical tradition and Kraken engineering.
  
• Campanilla African Ebony — Handcrafted from genuine African ebony, our classic bell-profile button celebrates the timeless beauty of natural hardwood. Carefully shaped and polished, it offers the warmth, elegance, and authentic appearance that have graced fine Spanish guitars for generations, while pairing seamlessly with Kraken's precision tuning mechanism.

Each plate is CNC-machined from solid billet brass, and every set is hand assembled in Málaga, Spain. Each set is backed by a two-year warranty covering repairs and tune-ups. Taxes are included in the listed price.
